Operation 36 at Pro Golf X: Train Year-Round, Level Up Your Game

Golf improvement shouldn’t stop when the outdoor season ends. At Pro Golf X, the Operation 36 Golf Development Program combines structured coaching, year-round indoor training, and tour-level TrackMan technology to give junior and adult golfers a clear pathway to improve their game.

Whether a player is picking up a golf club for the first time or already competing in tournaments, Operation 36 provides a simple goal:

Learn the skills. Play the game. Shoot 36 or better for 9 holes. Level up.

    Register here.

    What Is Operation 36?

Operation 36 takes a different approach to learning golf. Instead of immediately asking developing golfers to play from traditional tee boxes, players begin closer to the hole and gradually move farther away as their skills improve.

The objective at every level is to shoot 36 or better for nine holes.

Once a player achieves that goal, they advance to the next level and play from a longer distance. This creates a development pathway that is easy to understand, measurable, and motivating.

At Pro Golf X, we bring this proven development model indoors and combine it with PGA of Canada coaching and TrackMan technology.

    Practice Indoor. Perform Outdoor.

Calgary’s long winter doesn’t have to mean putting golf development on hold.

Pro Golf X provides a year-round training environment featuring six private TrackMan bays, including a Performance Studio powered by TrackMan 4.

Players can work on putting, short game, ball striking, distance control, swing mechanics and course management while receiving immediate feedback from TrackMan.

Instead of simply hitting balls, players can understand what is actually happening with every shot.

TrackMan data and swing video can help coaches and players evaluate areas such as:

    • Club Path
    • Face Angle and Face-to-Path
    • Ball Speed and Club Speed
    • Launch and Carry Distance
    • Shot Shape and Dispersion
    • Distance Control
    • Swing Video and Movement Patterns

This creates a more measurable training environment where progress can be tracked throughout the year.

    More Than a Golf Lesson

The Pro Golf X Operation 36 program is designed as a complete golf development experience, not a traditional weekly lesson.

Each program combines instruction, practice, TrackMan games, challenges, Rules of Golf, character development, and Level Up play.

A typical class follows a simple progression:

    Watch → Learn → Practice → Play → Challenge

Players can review Operation 36 learning material before class, receive instruction from their coach, practice the week’s skill, and then apply what they learned through TrackMan games and challenges.

Weekly topics can include putting and green reading, grip and posture, ball flight, alignment, power, fitness and nutrition, course management, and other skills needed to become a complete golfer.

    Making Practice Fun with TrackMan

One of the biggest advantages of running Operation 36 at Pro Golf X is combining structured development with interactive TrackMan training.

Players aren’t just standing on a range hitting ball after ball.

Depending on the lesson, coaches can incorporate TrackMan games and challenges such as Streets of Neon, Magic Pond, Capture the Flag, Bullseye, Scrapyard, Hit It and Longest Drive.

Games can reinforce the same skills being taught during the lesson while introducing targets, scoring and friendly competition.

Players can also earn points throughout the program for completing challenges, demonstrating skills and reaching development goals, making improvement something they can see and celebrate.

    Level Up on TrackMan Courses

The most important part of Operation 36 is learning to play golf, not simply developing a good-looking swing.

That is where TrackMan becomes especially valuable.

During a Level Up Play Day, players can play nine holes on TrackMan using distances appropriate to their Operation 36 level.

Beginners start close to the green. As they develop, the starting distance moves progressively farther away.

    The challenge remains the same:

Shoot 36 or better for nine holes.

A player might begin at a short distance where putting and short-game skills are critical. As they advance, longer approach shots, irons, and eventually tee shots become increasingly important.

TrackMan courses can support this progression using appropriate tee positions and course setups. Depending on the player’s level, courses such as DaleBrook Forest, Leon De Montana, Sand River, Abel’s Crossing, Richland Country Club, PGA National and Hualalai Resort can be incorporated into Level Up play.

This gives players an opportunity to apply what they have practiced in a realistic simulated golf environment.

A Development Pathway for Every Golfer

One of Operation 36’s strengths is that players don’t need the same ability to train together.

A beginner and a more experienced golfer can participate in the same development environment while working at different levels.

The difference comes during skill challenges and Level Up play.

A developing player may play from a shorter distance while an advanced player starts farther from the hole. Each golfer is challenged according to their current ability while working toward the same objective.

That makes the program suitable for juniors and adults, beginners, recreational golfers, developing players, and competitive tournament golfers.

From Indoor Training to the Golf Course

Indoor technology is most valuable when the improvement translates outdoors.

During Calgary’s fall and winter months, players can continue developing through TrackMan practice and simulated course play at Pro Golf X. When weather permits, Level Up events and training can transition outdoors to local golf courses.

The goal is to connect everything together:

Learn the skill → Measure it → Practice it → Challenge it → Play golf → Level up.

For competitive players, that can mean better distance control, tighter dispersion and stronger course management.

For newer golfers, it can mean learning how to actually play the game and building the confidence to step onto a golf course.

Why Operation 36 at Pro Golf X?

The combination of Operation 36 and Pro Golf X creates a year-round development system built around three important principles:

    Structure. Measurement. Playing the Game.

Operation 36 provides the pathway. PGA of Canada coaches provide the instruction. TrackMan provides objective feedback and a powerful practice and simulated-course environment.

Together, they allow golfers to continue developing regardless of the season.

There is always another skill to improve, another challenge to complete and another level to reach.

    Practice Indoor. Perform Outdoor.

At Pro Golf X, our goal is simple: give golfers an environment where they can train consistently, understand their game and see measurable improvement.

With the Operation 36 Golf Development Program powered by TrackMan, players have a clear pathway from learning the fundamentals to playing better golf.

Train year-round. Track your progress. Shoot 36. Level up. Never stop improving.
